Hotel surroundings

Our hotel is situated in the pleasant holiday village of Janov, which is part of the Protected landscape area of Labské pískovce, its located on the edge of the National Park České Švýcarsko (Czech Switzerland). In the neighborhood, you can find:

• The famous Gorge (canyon of the river of Kamenice with rich sandstone decoration, where humourous boatmen impress your imagination). It is 2km fr om the hotel.
• Pravčická Brána, symbol of the national park. 16 m high and 26 m wide stone bridge, the largest in Europe. You definately must see that.

The whole area is covered by a network of hiking and biking trails. Not only those, who love to overcome the relatively large height differences over short distances will likeit, but its enjoyed by others who are here looking for rest and relaxation.Also mountaineers will like it. In the village you can play golf or petanque, and in the neighborhood ,you can do horse riding, they can guide you in the underground. To research the surroundings you can use the lookouts. The city of Děčín (about 18 km fr om the hotel) offers sports (swimming pool, tennis courts, bowling, squash), and education (museum, zoo, galleries), and also cultural programs, shopping, music clubs and stylish restaurants.

Nearby is a thermal spa in Žandava,which will be favoured by the more tired tourists. Trips to the distant surroundings, the real hiden treats.

This region is unique for its floral beauty and its wildlife, and a stay here will be very beneficial for your health. Thanks to the pure nature, you can find plenty of rare plants here. Unknowingly you can pass the rare species of mosses, which are very susceptible to any contamination

In many places, crystal clear water springs bubble to the surface , which are stored in huge underground lakes, that are considered as the largest underground water sources in the Czech Republic.

Due to the thermal increasing currents around mesas and Pravčická brána, where the air flows up from the North Sea, for which the beneficial effects of these places are called ”Wind spa“.
